A one day excursion to Jinja, the town also known as the home of the Nile river.
Jinja town is best known for the source of the Nile at the now submerged Rippon Falls. The main source of power in Uganda is generated from Owen Falls Dam, located downstream from the source of the Nile. You can enjoy the spectacular scenery at the Bujagali falls or even opt to enjoy white water rafting at extra cost on this mighty nile.The Nile starts its 4000-mile journey to the Mediterranean from Lake Victoria.
The tour departs from Kampala, passing various plantations such as coffee, tea and sugar and colorful roadside fruit and vegetable markets. First stop, at Mabira Forest to see butterflies, birds, and primatess and then on to the Owen Falls Dam and to the submerged source of the Nile. Lunch and theafter, enjoy the afternoon relaxing at Bujagali Falls. Drive back to Kampala to arrive in the evening.
