A 3 day tour that takes you to the Bwindi impenetrable national park to track gorillas.
0700hrs: You shall be met by your driver guide at your hotel, pick up and depart Kampala.
The Park is located in South West of Uganda about 540km from Kampala. The drive takes you through the beautiful Ugandan countryside to the ancient rainforests of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. On the way, skirt the north-eastern shores of Lake Victoria, and climb into the mountainous south-western region of Uganda through terraced hillsides dotted with traditional settlements. The local people near the park are Mos’, Bafumbira and Minor Batwa communities (Pygmy!). Arrival at your lodge in the late afternoon, check in and dinner.

Bwindi covers an area of about 330km2 of thick vegetation draped over very fissured landscape of the steep ridges and slippery valleys. This is a magnificent green swathe of dense rainforest and is one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and it has been acknowledged as the World Heritage Site. Its habitat to highly endangered species including Mountain Gorillas, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Chimpanzee, African green broadbill. Other animals found here includes: elephant, bushbuck, black-fronted duiker, leopard, giant forest hogs, black and white colobus, red colobus and blue monkeys and birds include; Grauer's rush warbler, Chaplin's flycatcher, African giant swallowtail and many others.
Begin your gorilla trek in the early morning, and set off into the tangled and mist-shrouded forests with guides and trackers who are very experienced at locating the gorillas by finding the nest the family had used the previous night. The search for these majestic animals goes through thick untamed rainforest, where you'll be scrambling over mossy rocks and through deep undergrowth and it can be rigorous at times therefore ensure physical fitness. However, when you come face to face with the gorillas, the trek will be more than worth it, and watching gorillas in their natural habitat is a memorable experience. After spending an hour with the gorillas drive back to your hotel/camp for a late lunch and a relaxing late afternoon.
