A Kenya and Tanzania combined 12 days safari that gives you the opportunity to experience the best of East Africa in style. This safari takes you such top destinations as the Masai Mara, Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater.
On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met by our airport representative holding a pager with your names. He will then transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi.
Overnight at the Southern Sun Mayfair Hotel, Nairobi
0700 Hrs: Your driver guide will pick you up at the hotel and brief you about the tour. You will then depart for the Masai Mara by road, with a brief stop at the Rift Valley view point to enjoy scenic views of the Rift Valley. Arrive in the Mara in time for lunch and check-in at your Lodge.
1600 Hrs: Late afternoon game drive within the national reserve till sunset.
The Masai Mara is Kenya's most famous reserve due to its abundant wildlife throughout the year. You will easily spot lions, buffalos, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, gazelles, impalas, several other antelope species, among scores of other animals any time of the year. The reserve also is also home to leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, and wild dogs, and a wide population of bird life. The Mara is most renowned for the annual wildebeest migration from the Serengeti. The migration takes takes place between June and October.

0630 hrs: Early morning game drive in the reserve, and thereafter take a late breakfast, then enjoy the rest of the morning relaxing at the lodge.
0500 hrs: Enjoy a balloon ride (at an extra cost) over the Masai Mara. The balloon company will pick you from the lodge to the launching site for the balloon ride. After landing, you will have breakfast in the bush, accompanied with champagne. Transfer back to the lodge by 0900hrs to enjoy the rest of the morning at leisure.
After lunch, you proceed at 1600 Hrs for a game drive till sunset.

Take breakfast at the lodge, then check out and leave by 0800hrs for the Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive in time for check-in and lunch at the Sarova Lion Hill Lodge.
1600 Hrs: Enjoy late afternoon game drive in the national park.
Lake Nakuru national park is named after the lake, which is famous the hundreds of thousands of flamingo's (both greater and lesser), pelicans, and other water birds found here. The park is also home to four of the big five animals - lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino. This is in addition to plenty of other animals including gazelles, impalas, the endangered Rothschild giraffe, warthogs, and water bucks. Both the black and white rhinos are present in this national park. The park has no elephants however.

0700 Hrs : After breakfast, check out of the lodge and commence drive towards Amboseli National Park via Nairobi with a stopover for lunch. (Alternatively, you can enjoy picnic lunch enroute). You will arrive in Amboseli in the late afternoon, enjoying a game drive enroute to your lodge.
Amboseli National Park is reknowned for its large herds of elephants against the splendid backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. Apart from the elephants, other animals that can be spotted here include: buffalo, wildbeest, leopard, cheetah, rhino, hyena, giraffe, zebra, lion and many others. The park is also home to a prolific birdlife. Amboseli also gives you an opportunity to meet and mingle with the local Masai tribesmen, who reside in the area.

Breakfast at the lodge, then depart at around 0800 Hrs, driving through the Namanga border into Tanzania. At the border you shall undergo the normal immigration procedures, then your Kenyan driver guide will introduce you to your Tanzanian guide for the Tanzania safari part. Proceed to Arusha town for lunch.
1400 Hrs: Drive to the Tarangire National Reserve
Tarangire is famous for its large herds of buffalo and the multitude of its interesting-looking centuries-old baobab trees. The animals found here include wildbeest, gazelles, lions, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, lesser kudu, fringe-eared oryx among many others. During the dry seasons, the concentration of animals here almost match that of the famous Serengeti as herds of migratory wildebeest and zebras gather along the marshy shores of Lake Natron, which is also shared by the flocks of numerous birds species.

0630 Hrs: Early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge, and lunch later on.
After lunch proceed to Serengeti National Park.
The word Serengeti is a Masai word meaning endless plains. The park has diverse habitats hosting a large number of animals and about 500 bird species. The habitat varies from the savannah grassland plains, to woodlands, small rivers and swamps. The biggest part of the world-famous annual wildebeest migration takes place in these Serengeti plains. The migration, which involves huge herds of wildebeeste and zebras, is one of the most magnificient natural events in the world.

Enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives in the Serengeti plains for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and other antelopes, lions, and so many of the other animals present here.

After lunch drive to Ngorongoro Crater via the Olduvai Gorge, the site of Louis and Mary Leakey’s renowned archaeological discoveries. You will arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in time for check in at your lodge.

Breakfast at the lodge. At around 0830 Hrs, you will descend (2000feet) into the crater with packed picnic lunches for a full day game drive. Explore the conservation area inhabited by plenty of animals including lions, elephants, rhino, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, monkeys, and many others.
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. It is regarded as a natural wonder of the world and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater floor habitats range from grassland, woodlands, lakes, swamps and rivers, offering a natural habitat for a great number of wildlife and birdlife. The Ngorongoro conservation area has Africa's densest population of predators.

0730 Hrs: Check out and drive back to Arusha for lunch.
After lunch, drop off at Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Nairobi or your flight back home. Alternatively, you can board a public shuttle bus to return to Nairobi and drop you off at the JKIA airport for your flight back home or at your hotel.
